Data2Logistics launches site for freight shipping issues

   Data2Logistics, a freight bill processor and advisor, has launched a new freight shipping information site that aims to provide customers and partners with information around global finance, economics, and manufacturing as they relate to shipping, logistics and freight payment systems.
   One of the first issues discussed on the site was around Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, which has passed a series of finance reforms that will allow direct foreign investment to help the nation build up its infrastructure. The country is first looking to enhance its medical and telecommunications sectors.
   The company’s services are geared toward enhancing existing logistics, supply chain, finance, and accounting staffs’ knowledge base. Its goal is to cover the bases for domestic and international transportation for truckload, less-than-truckload, parcel, ocean, air, and rail. Its existing services provide information and data mining tools to establish areas of savings and point out where companies can improve existing negotiations.
   Data2Logistics, based in Fort Myers, Fla., processes around $15 billion worth of freight bills annually, projecting a client savings of 5 percent to 15 percent of product shipping expenditures per year.
