Amanda Burgess, of Rochester, was charged Sept. 5.
The U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General said the complaint alleges that Burgess, who worked for multiple motor carrier companies — including Dallas Logistics Inc., Orange Transportation Services, Trugreen Logistics Inc. and Main Street Logistics — established new companies in fictitious locations after the original businesses received “conditional” ratings from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
In May 2016, an FMCSA inspector conducted an on-site compliance review of Dallas Logistics and reportedly learned the company was in New York and not Texas, the location listed on its MCS-150 Motor Carrier Identification Report form, according to the Office of Inspector General. In response to a FMCSA inquiry about this matter, Burgess allegedly submitted a letter containing false statements.
