U.S. STEEL STARTS TRANSTAR, NEW LOGISTICS UNIT

U.S. STEEL STARTS TRANSTAR, NEW LOGISTICS UNIT    USX-U.S. Steel Group, based in Pittsburgh, has reorganized its distribution and logistics services department, creating a new subsidiary called Transtar Logistics LLC.
   Transtar Logistics will provide all supply chain services for shipping the parent company’s steel products, and will also market its services to other related industries.
   U.S. Steel appointed Keith H. Jansen as president of the new subsidiary, which is based in Monroeville, Pa. Jansen had been general manager of U.S. Steel’s former distribution and logistics services department.
   The parent company also named Arlene F. Fatalino as vice president of administrative services, and Robert H. Webster as vice president of operating services.
