USFREIGHTWAYS PICKS DESCARTES TRACKING SOFTWARE    USFreightways Corp., an operating group of national and region trucking companies, has contracted with Descartes Systems Group to use its Routing and Scheduling application.
   Descartes' software provides “accessible real-time shipment status and continuous tracking to guarantee delivery,” said Doug Waggoner, senior vice president of strategic marketing for USFreightways.
   Descartes, based in Waterloo, Ontario, also said it has appointed Bruce Gordon senior vice president of products and technology, and Evros Psiloyenis as senior vice president of infrastructure and support.
   Gordon was senior vice president of product marketing for Descartes, and Psiloyenis was managing director, South America region, for iDirect.
