Rail traffic controllers in Canada ratify new collective labor agreement

CN announced the ratification of a four year agreement with the Teamsters-lead union.    Members of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference-Rail Canada Traffic Controllers union have ratified a new collective labor agreement, according to a statement from the Canadian National Railway Company.
   CN did not disclose full terms of the deal, but said the contract will last for four years and cover approximately 180 rail traffic controllers in Canada.
   Jim Vena, CN executive vice-president and chief operating officer, said, “We are delighted to see another union ratify a new labour contract as we wrap up this current round of bargaining in Canada. The agreement was amicably negotiated by the company and union and will deliver real wage and benefit improvements to our employees.”
