Ozburn Hessey Logistics said Tuesday it has hired industry veteran Al Benki for the newly created position of vice president, international services.

Benki will oversee the third-party logistics provider's Latin American activities. He will work in conjunction with OH Logistics' Barthco International division, and will be based at Barthco division offices in Miami. Ozburn Hessey also has a second office in Miami.
Benki's experience includes senior vice president global sea freight for Exel; managing carrier relationships within the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific; vice president of global transportation services for UPS Supply Chain Solutions, which acquired the forwarder-broker company Fritz in 2001; and president, North America, for steamship line agency OOCL (USA) Inc.
