NRS picks VeriWise for real-time visibility

   National Retail Systems (NRS), a provider of logistics services to U.S. retailers, pharmaceutical companies and consumer goods manufacturers, has entered an agreement with I.D. Systems’ Asset Intelligence subsidiary to use its VeriWise Track and Trace asset system.
   NRS President and Chief Operating Officer Raymond Wisniewski said his company hauls more than a billion pounds of freight every year and needed a substantial system that would safeguard loads and provide a return on NRS’ investment. “Based on past performance, we are confident that deploying the Track and Trace system on our trailer fleet will help us reduce operating costs and improve our asset utilization by 10-15 percent,” he said.
  The VeriWise Track and Trace platform provides real-time GPS data via cellular communications and Web-based software to improve efficiency and enhance security of freight transportation fleets. The system is designed for a variety of installations and sets up quickly.
