CEO of Hilton since joining the company in 1996, Bollenbach, 64, has also served as co-chair of the Hilton board since 2004.
Bollenbach succeeds William Stiritz, who stepped down from the Macy's board in May when he reached the mandatory retirement age for Macy's directors.
Prior to joining Hilton, Bollenbach's served as chief financial officer for the Walt Disney Co., CEO of Host Marriott Corp. and CFO of the Trump Organization.
