Shipco opens office in Dalian, China

Shipco opens office in Dalian, China    Shipco Transport, a Hoboken, N.J.-based non-vessel-operating common carrier, has set up its third office in China at Dalian.
   The company opened its first office in China at Shanghai in 2002, which was followed by the opening of a facility at Shenzhen in April.
   Polly Wang will head Shipco’s Dalian office.
   “China is of course a significant market for us and this development is a major step forward for Shipco to secure our future there and to provide our clients with better and more extensive services to/from this region,” said Klaus Jepsen, chief executive officer for Shipco, in a statement.
   From its offices in China, Shipco offers 55 direct services worldwide. This is complemented by another 64 direct services offered by Shipco’s partners in Ningbo, Qingdao, Xingang and Xiamen.
