Jamaica Shipping Association offering Spanish lessons The Shipping Association of Jamaica is offering 12-week Spanish courses for anyone in the industry who wants to learn the language.
   The course will be run by the association from Sept. 3 through mid-November. There are courses for beginners, as well as for students that have completed courses offered since the program started a year ago.
   According to a report on the program in the Jamaica Gleaner, the association has recruited well-qualified teachers and has put about 45 students through the courses thus far.
   The association is putting the courses together to help improve trade ties with the Spanish Caribbean and Latin America.
