CargoWise One to integrate with VelaTrack container tracking software

WiseTech Global’s flagship enterprise logistics software will receive container movement and status updates from the Oregon-based software provider.    The logistics enterprise software provider WiseTech Global has formed an integration partnership with container tracking software provider VelaTrack.
   Bend, Ore.-based VelaTrack provides near real-time container events from all major ocean carriers and 40 U.S. terminals. Events tracked include container movements and statuses. The integration will allow container information to flow into CargoWise One, WiseTech Global’s flagship product.
   “Subscription to container event tracking means there is no need to source container movements and statuses outside of your CargoWise One application or manually enter container movement data into the system,” says Angela Gadaev, WiseTech’s product manager of international logistics. “The events received from VelaTrack will automatically match and update critical dates and milestones on operational jobs. CargoWise One users can automatically expose container movement and status events on the web to their customers for track-and-trace purposes, and trigger automated alerts to customers and staff when a container is held or not on schedule, ensuring increased productivity, performance and improved customer service.”
