The change is in order to have the rate increase coincide with the change in bunker adjustment factor, also scheduled for July 1.
The increase — $120 on 20-foot dry containers and $200 on 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot containers — reflects “market developments that have created equipment shortages in some regions and delays onshore, as well as the tightening of available ocean capacity.”
