   ATC Logistics & Electronics said it has introduced a transportation management system to help customers significantly reduce transportation expense.
   ATCL&E said it will use LeanLogistics' On-Demand TMS tool, and said the system was selected because of the flexibility of its Web-based platform.
   'We are committed to delivering solutions that will cut costs for our customers, and this new service will maximize every transportation dollar they spend,' said Antony Francis, president of ATCLE. 'The offering supports our commitment to work with customers to generate substantial long-term savings for them via our closed-loop approach to supply chain management. It is yet another service that allows them to leverage our resources as a variable cost, rather than investing in and maintaining their own TMS.'
   ATCL&E will utilize the TMS to create economies of scale by optimizing orders into multi-stop full truckloads, and 'rate shop' the remaining less-than-truckload orders to identify the most economical carrier for the lowest rates possible. The company will coordinate and manage all shipments in real time via online monitoring, from pickup to delivery. The system will also supplement customers' transportation departments with automated invoicing and auditing.
