Miro to provide logistics software for Norwegian airline

Miro to provide logistics software for Norwegian airline Norwegian airline SAS Braathens said Tuesday it has reached agreement with logistics and maintenance software maker Miro Technologies to provide a software system to support aircraft maintenance and engineering management.
   Financial details of the agreement were not released.
   The scope of the Miro-branded AuRA system will include engineering, planning and line maintenance for the entire SAS Braathens fleet. Implementation of the system began with the announcement of the deal.
   La Jolla-based Miro, who specializes in aircraft logistics support systems, previously implemented AuRA for Scandinavian Airlines in Stockholm. Miro and Braathens Technical Services subsequently implemented AuRA at Air Maintenance Estonia, a subsidiary of STS based in Tallinn, Estonia.
   SAS Braathens, Norway’s largest scheduled airline, serves 45 cities with an aircraft fleet of 52 Boeing 737s and six Fokker F50s. The airline was formed in 2004 by the merger of Scandinavian Airlines and Braathens.
   Miro provides maintenance, repair and overhaul and logistics support software for the defense and commercial aerospace markets with more than 150,000 end users. Miro's mainline products are installed at 158 sites around the world.
