TMCA becomes TMSA    The Transportation Marketing and Communications Association, an organization that has served transportation marketing and communications professionals since 1924, has changed its name to the Transportation Marketing and Sales Association.
   The association said the name change demonstrates efforts to widen its focus beyond marketing and communications disciplines to include transportation sales professionals.

   'Our new name and brand reflect what our members have told us. The coordination between marketing, communications and sales is becoming more and more important to driving growth,' said Dick Metzler, TMSA president and chief commercial officer at Greatwide Logistics Services, in a statement.
   In addition to its annual conference on June 5-7 in San Diego, the association plans to redesign its Web site, increase sales-related content, and continue efforts to share best practices with its members throughout the year.
