Crowley's liner services unit moved the solar house made by the students from San Juan to Jacksonville to Washington. The student team bested 19 other entries from some of the most prestigious universities in the United States, Europe and Canada.

The ceremony honoring the students' accomplishment was held at Crowley's Isla Grande terminal at the Port of San Juan. The award was presented by Jose Chico, president of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives' Commission for Socioeconomic Development and Planning.
