DOERKEN, DEUTSCHE POST EXECUTIVE, NAMED CHAIRMAN OF DHL

DOERKEN, DEUTSCHE POST EXECUTIVE, NAMED CHAIRMAN OF DHL    Uwe R. Doerken, a member of    the board of mail and logistics giant Deutsche Post World Net, will become the executive chairman of DHL International, effective Jan. 1.
   Doerken will continue as a member of the main management board of the German group.
   The appointment follows the announcement last September that Deutsche Post will increase its stake in DHL International to 51 percent, effective from January.
   Doerken will take over as executive chairman of the Brussels-based express operator from Pat Lupo. Lupo will be responsible for the integration of DHL Worldwide Express Inc. in the U.S. He will continue to be a member of the board of directors of DHL International.
