ARTEMUS to provide customs broker services

Software provider expands portfolio after securing broker license.    The trade compliance software provider ARTEMUS Transportation Solutions this week began offering U.S. Customs Brokerage Services at all U.S. ports of discharge.
   The services expand the scope of ARTEMUS’ current product portfolio, including filing of information to U.S. Customs, preparation of customs entry form 3461 and entry summary form 7501 to ensure cargo is cleared in a timely manner.
   ARTEMUS said it can assist importers with the calculation of all fees due to U.S. Customs, including duty and taxes. These duties, taxes and fees can be paid by the importer directly to U.S. Customs or to ARTEMUS, which can then forward the payment to Customs for the client. ARTEMUS can also provide importers with both single and continuous bonds as required by Customs. The services also include filing of Importer Security Filing entry, Food and Drug Administration Entry and FDA Prior Notice.
   ARTEMUS President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Pniewski said the company’s advantage is its internal industry experience married with its solutions.
