Henriksen returns to Norwegian Shipowners’ Association

The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA) said Thursday that Sturla Henriksen would start as its permanent managing director this summer.
   Acting Managing Director Jon Egil Johnsen will continue in the role until Henriksen takes up the appointment.
   Henriksen is a partner in Accenture, a global management consulting and technology services company. He returns to the NSA after a 10-year absence having been a director and head of finance at the association from 1992 to 1998.
   “I'm looking forward to getting started,” he said. “The ship owners and the maritime sector are among Norway’s largest and most vital industries, and there is great potential for further growth and development. In terms of competence building and the environment and on the employers’ side, all the conditions are conducive for Norway to take a leading role. This must happen in partnership with all stakeholders, both nationally and internationally.”
