Major Miami road project almost ready to start The Florida Department of Transportation said Tuesday that work on the $115 million Northwest 25th Street reconstruction and viaduct project will begin in mid-July.
   The project will last an estimated four years. It is being done to improve traffic flows, especially the movement of air cargo, in and out of Miami International Airport.
   The work will be done on Northwest 25th Street west of the airport between the Palmetto Expressway (State Road 826) and Northwest 67th Avenue.
   Officials said that during construction there will be four operating lanes on 25th, two eastbound and two westbound, from the Palmetto to Northwest 72nd Avenue. Between Northwest 72nd and Northwest 67th Avenue, there will be only one lane operating on 25th Street in each direction.
