DP World's parent company, Dubai World, is embroiled in a massive debt restructuring operation, though the parent indicated DP World, which is profitable, would be walled off from the restructuring.
Reuters reported that DP World Chief Executive Mohammed Sharaf indicated the London listing is not to raise additional capital but to provide additional liquidity. DP World is listed on the Dubai Nasdaq exchange.
