Amber Road’s free global trade cloud portal

   Amber Road, formerly Management Dynamics, is building on its global trade management (GTM) offerings with the launch of TradeWizards.com, a free cloud-based portal for global trade operations.
   The Website is a combination of nine research tools built around obtaining data related to cost and compliance risks around importing and exporting goods.
   The modules available in the suite cover restricted party screening against 40 lists; product classification covering 120 countries, export control numbers, harmonized schedule, and Schedule B classification systems; landed costs for import and export transactions, as well as duties, taxes, customs fees, government and port charges; and quotes for sourcing decisions and foreign markets.
   TradeWizards.com is a streamlined version of Amber Road’s existing Trade Wizards product. Users can register on the Website and receive a complimentary number of transactions each month, but only for a small number of users per company.
   Users will see promotions to upgrade to the paid version to get unlimited transactions and expanded options in export and import controls and documentation.
   “Companies both large and small are increasingly turning to globalization strategies to increase revenue and lower costs,” said Nathan Pieri, Amber Road’s senior vice president of product management and marketing. “With global trade, however, comes the added complexity of understanding how government regulations and tax regimes impact a particular order or shipment.”
