Total port traffic for the month increased 6 percent to 8.5 million tons, driven by a return to growth in the oil (up 7 percent to 5.7 million tons) and dry bulk (up 16 percent to 1.24 million tons) sectors.
General cargo, which includes containers, roll-on/roll-off (down 5 percent at 0.31 million tons), and conventional traffic (up 9 percent at 260,000 tons), was down 2 percent to 1.34 million tons
