H&M opens intermodal operations in Ohio, Virginia

H&M opens intermodal operations in Ohio, Virginia    H&M International Transportation, an intermodal logistics services provider, has opened trucking operations in Columbus, Ohio, and Norfolk, Va.
   H&M also maintains intermodal trucking operations in Kearney, N.J.; Philadelphia; Jacksonville and Hollywood, Fla.; and Long Beach, Calif. The company has a fleet of 400 trucks.
   The new operations in Columbus and Norfolk will provide additional intermodal truck capacity serving rail ramps from Ohio to the U.S. East Coast, H&M said in a statement.
   H&M, based in Jersey City, N.J., also provides logistics management through rail terminal operations, container yards and container freight stations, as well as warehousing, consolidation, distribution, and customs clearance services.
   The company named James Dixon to manage its new Columbus operation and Robert Fallon to manage its Norfolk facility.
