According to a Volga-Dnepr press release, it is the first Boeing Shanghai customer from Russia requesting this type of conversion. Boeing Shanghai has converted five 737-400s for customers in other areas of the world.
“We are glad to start working with Boeing Shanghai and regard this as a start to our future mutual beneficial cooperation,” stated Denis Ilin, executive president of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, Volga-Dnepr’s cargo airline.
