U.S. grant supports Aqaba vessel tracking study    The U.S. Trade and Development Agency has awarded a $418,010 grant to Jordan's Aqaba Development Corp. to study the feasibility of a vessel traffic system and an integrated port communications information system at the Port of Aqaba.
   'The VTS will promote trade by tracking vessel movements and providing navigational safety in the Gulf of Aqaba,' the USTDA said in a statement.
   The USTDA grant to the Aqaba Development Corp. will be competed on through the Federal Business Opportunities Web site. A link to the FBO announcement will be posted on the USTDA's Web site. The Jordanian government will select the U.S. firm that will perform the study associated with the grant.
