Hapag-Lloyd announces North America GRI

   Hapag-Lloyd is increasing its rates for dry commodities from ports in North America by $160 per TEU and $200 per FEU, it said Monday.
   The change, effective Feb. 1, raises rates for dry commodities from Canada and the U.S. to East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East.
   East Asia comprises Japan, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Macao, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and the Russian Pacific ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.
   The Indian Subcontinent is India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
   The Middle East comprises Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and the Red Sea ports of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
