ABX STRENGTHENS LATIN AMERICAN OPERATIONS    ABX Logistics has named Daniel Grimes to director of its Latin American operations.
   Grimes, who will be based in Miami, has 13 years of freight forwarding experience in the Latin American market.
   During the past three years, the Brussels-based logistics firm and subsidiary of the Belgian National Railway has built a network of owned companies in Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. ABX also works with exclusive agents in Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Brazil.
   ABX said its goal is to “strengthen the existing traffic lanes with Europe and the U.S. and build in additional trade lanes with Asia and within Latin America itself.”
   “This challenge requires a closely-knit team in Latin America and a target oriented leadership and management,” the company added.
