The orders comprises 14 318,000 deadweight Very Large Crude Oil Carriers (VLCCs), five 82,000m3 LPG carriers, four 105,000 dwt product carriers and one 150,000m3 LNG carrier from ship owners in the Middle East, Greece, Belgium and Asia.
For the year to date, HHI has received orders for 35 ships worth $3.5 billion, bringing its backlogs to 230 ships worth more than $20 billion. The shipyard said its accumulated order backlog will keep it busy for the next three years.
