FMC reviews eight OTI applications, revokes 10 licenses    The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received eight ocean transportation intermediary license applications for review.
   The agency received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Draft Cargoways India Private Ltd., Dix Hills, N.Y., Prasad Prabhakar Gokhale, chief executive officer; One World Logistics, Avenel, N.J., Jitendra S. Patel, president; South Texas Shipping, Magnolia, Texas, Lynn Patrick Stewart, president; and WSA International, Coral Springs, Fla., Vanessa Aristud, president.
   The FMC received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Global Tassili Transport Services, Houston, Benali Belkagemi, president; Corrigan’s Express Freight Corp., Julian Keeling, president; and American Global Marketing, Los Angeles, Mamdouh 'Moe' S. Mokhtar, president.
   The agency also received an ocean freight forwarder license application from Nankai Transport International (USA), Los Angeles, Tsuneharu Tanaka, president/director.
   Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive a license are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington.
   The FMC also revoked 10 OTI licenses for the company’s failure to maintain valid bonds with the agency. They are Deka Associates, San Francisco; Demar Freight Forwarding Services, Wood Dale, Ill.; Elite Freight Forwarders, Glen Ridge, N.J.; Intracon Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill.; J C Freight, City of Industry, Calif.; Marante Forwarding Co., Hialeah, Fla.; Midas Express, South San Francisco; Ocean Concord (USA), Monterey Park, Calif.; S&R Forwarding, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Simpson’s Shipping Enterprise, Mount Vernon, N.Y.
