The motor carrier has increased its driver wage in the past year to attract more drivers. Inexperienced drivers will earn an average of $33,500-$41,500 in their first year. Experienced drivers will earn an average of $47,500-$56,500 per year.
Long-distance drivers, however, will average about $60,000 per year under Schneider’s new pay structure compared to $45,000 in the past, company officials have said.
