Air Hong Kong to add Nagoya to network

Air Hong Kong to add Nagoya to network    Cargo airline Air Hong Kong, owned by Cathay Pacific (60 percent) and DHL (40 percent), will Oct. 29 start services to Nagoya, pending Japanese government approval.
   The cargo carrier plans to operate a five-times-a-week service to the Japanese city using its recently delivered eighth Airbus A300-600F aircraft, which features a unique loading system and side door capable of handling large items of general freight in addition to small packages.
   Nagoya would become the carrier’s ninth destination including Tokyo (Narita), Osaka (Kansai), Seoul (Incheon), Taipei, Bangkok, Penang, Singapore and Hong Kong.
   “Nagoya will be a useful link in the express-freight chain for DHL and we are pleased to be adding the city to our network,” said Richard Cater, Air Hong Kong’s chief operating officer.
