The latest order comprises 15 four-high stacking units and 10 three-high stacking units for use in the port of Durban.
In August last year, SAPO ordered 53 straddle carriers from Kalmar, to be operational in the ports of Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
Delivery of all 78 units is scheduled to begin this summer.
