Bus services planned for Miami Cargo City

Bus services planned for Miami Cargo City Miami-Dade Transit plans to extend bus service into the 'Cargo City' area of Miami International Airport beginning Oct. 22, culminating a multi-year effort by air cargo companies and employees to get public transportation there.
   The east-west Route 238, which now serves the Miami International terminal, the Earlington Heights Metrorail State, the airport Tri-Rail station and stops from the Airport Hilton to Miami International Mall and the Dolphin Mall, will be adjusted to serve both Cargo City and the West Side cargo area. The added loop will turn off Milam Dairy Road at N.W. 16th Street and go into Cargo City (N.W. 62nd Avenue and N.W. 17th Street) and then back out west to N.W. 107th Avenue via N.W. 25th Street, with the route ending at the Dolphin Mall.
   The route operates weekdays only, with buses stopping every 30 minutes during rush hour and every 60 minutes the rest of the day and evening. Service into the Miami International cargo area will run from 6:18 a.m. to 8:26 p.m.
