DANZAS FORMS TRUCKING NETWORK IN SOUTH AMERICA    Danzas has formed a trucking network in South America, offering time-definite door-to-door deliveries in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia.
   Coordinated by Danzas Brazil, the service will use Brazil as a hub for weekly trucking frequencies, with major cities in the other five countries service as spokes. While the service will originate and terminate in Brazil, intermediate stops are scheduled to ensure that each country has access to the network.
The service is being integrated into Danzas' warehousing and brokerage services, and Danzas Logistica, the company's Brazilian logistics arm, will develop and execute supply chain services to complement the trucking operations.
   Danzas has 14 offices in Brazil with hub operations in nine cities.
   Juerg Rorher, country manager for Danzas Brazil, said the company's strong relationships with South American countries' customs authorities will facilitate rapid processing and clearance of goods at Danzas' network of private bonded warehouses.
   'The timely and efficient clearance of goods has always been a challenge in South America, yet that is exactly what is needed for South America to reach its full potential as a regional trading bloc,' Rohrer said.
   The new trucking service is part of Danzas' plan to broadly expand across South America in 2002, said Samuel Israel, chief executive officer of the Latin American region.
