Coast Guard seizes Bolivian cargo ship The U.S. Coast Guard said it intercepted and seized a Bolivian cargo ship some 230 miles southeast off the Dominican Republic over the weekend that was carrying 800 pounds of cocaine, 55 pounds of heroin and one MAC-10 submachine gun.
   The cutter 'Tahoma,' which is part of the Caribbean Corridor Initiative organized crime drug enforcement strike force, intercepted the 130-foot cargo vessel 'Osiris II' after an operation that included coordination and cooperation between the Caribbean Corridor participating agencies and the government of Bolivia.
   All eight crew members aboard the vessel were detained and the ship was escorted to the U.S. Coast Guard base in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Coast Guard said the Caribbean initiative includes the Coast Guard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Agency, Customs and Border Protection, FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office.
