NYK releases enhanced auto program

   NYK has teamed up with Weathernews and Kozo Keikaku Engineering to develop “Symphony Project,” an auto logistics service using “unique logistics technologies” in the Asian region, according to NYK.
   The solution will offer environmental information and analyses regarding transport; weather-monitoring programs; visualization of complex supply-chain procedures; inventory-optimization analysis; and car-yard optimization.
   “Symphony Project” is part of NYK’s More than Shipping 2018 management plan.
   Company officials noted that the demand for auto logistics in the region is gaining steam, and the company will start rolling out new programs first in Indonesia, which is seen as the largest car market in the area.
