Schenker to integrate Indonesia operations    Schenker will from the start of next year merge its and BAX Indonesia’s operations in Indonesia.
   BAX Indonesia has had an exclusive agency agreement with BAX Global since 1997, specializing in international air freight, ocean services, warehousing and distribution with offices in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, and Bandung, with a staff of 140.
   The combined company, PT Schenker Petrolog Utama, will have a workforce of more than 400 in nine locations in Indonesia
   “The new integrated organization in Indonesia will be one of the market leaders in air freight export, particularly in the garment industry,” said Karl-Heinz Matthes, Schenker’s regional director, Asia Pacific, and chief executive officer Asia Pacific of the joint Schenker and BAX organization.
   Schenker’s parent company, the German state-owned rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG, purchased BAX Global for $1.1 billion from U.S. security firm The Brink’s Co. in January.
