Tropical Shipping adjusts cutoffs for holiday Tropical Shipping has adjusted its cargo and documentation cutoff times in Florida for Wednesday and Thursday sailings to Caribbean island destinations because its U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands offices will be closed Wednesday for the Independence Day holiday.
   Carrier-loaded full containerload shipments must be at the Port of Palm Beach by 3 p.m. today, and shipper-loaded FCL cargo must be at the port by 10 p.m. Riviera Beach consolidation service cargo and Miami less-than-containerload cargo had to be delivered by noon today.
   There will be a Wednesday departure for Antigua; Dominica; Montserrat; Nevis; Saba; St. Eustatius; St. John; St. Kitts; St. Maarten; St. Thomas, Tortola; and Virgin Gorda. There is a Thursday departure for Anguilla; Barbados; Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas; Grenada; Guyana; Nassau, Bahamas; St. Barths; St. Croix; St. Lucia; St. Vincent; and Trinidad.
   The normal Wednesday departures to Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas have been cancelled. All frozen and chilled LCL cargo for Nassau will sail on Thursday, and deliveries to Port of Palm Beach Cold will be accepted today until 4 p.m.
   Consignees located in the U.S. Virgin Islands who are expecting cargo delivery on Wednesday should call the local office in St. Croix at (340) 778-8767 or St. Thomas at (340) 776-8767 to make the necessary pre-clearance arrangements.
