ZIM, EVERGEEEN, LLOYD TRIESTINO START NORTH EUROPE/EASTERN MED LINK    Zim Israel Navigation Co., Evergreen and its affiliate Lloyd Triestino are starting a weekly container service between North Europe and the eastern Mediterranean.
   Four ships will operate in the joint Europe Levant Express service.
   The service will have a port rotation of Thamesport , Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp,    Lisbon, Taranto, Piraeus, Istanbul, Izmir, Taranto and Thamesport. The first vessel, the 2,000-TEU “Diman II,” is scheduled to commence loading in Thamesport in the United Kingdom on April 11. A northbound call at Lisbon is also envisaged soon, Zim said.
   The service will connect with other ports in the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Black Sea by feeder via the Mediterranean hub ports of Taranto and Piraeus. Feeder links over North Europe to Scandinavia and Baltic Sea ports will also be available.
