CARGO 2000 MEMBERS ACHIEVE ACCREDITATION

CARGO 2000 MEMBERS ACHIEVE ACCREDITATION    Cargo 2000, an association of airlines and freight forwarders, has confirmed its first 13 members to achieve phase one accreditation.
   The accreditation focuses on controlling the airport-to-airport cycle at master waybill level. Cargo 2000 requires that all of its members achieve phase-one accreditation of at last one major site by the end of 2001.
   Phase one “automatically creates a plan, once a booking is made, that includes a series of checkpoints against which air cargo movements are managed and measured,”    the organization said.”This allows the system to alert Cargo 2000 members to exceptions to the plan, allowing corrective action to be taken to fulfill the service promise to the customer.”
   The members achieving accreditation and sites accredited are:
   * Air France, Paris.
   * American Airlines, London.
   * Austrian Airlines, Chicago, Linz, Munich, New York, Osaka, Salzburg, Tokyo, Toronto, Vienna and Washington.
   * British Airways World Cargo, London and Tokyo.
   * Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong and London.
   * Danzas AEI, Atlanta, Brussels, Chicago, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Toronto.
   * Exel, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New York and Singapore.
   * Kintetsu World Express, Chicago, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
   * Korean Air Cargo, Los Angeles, New York, Osaka, Seoul and Tokyo.
   * Panalpina, Zurich.
   * Schenker AG, Geneva, Graz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Linz, Salzburg, Vienna and Zurich.
   * SDV, Paris.
   * Yusen Air & Sea Service, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Tokyo.
