COSCO Americas names Chen Xiaomin as president

COSCO Americas names Chen Xiaomin as president    COSCO Americas Inc., the administrative and management unit for the North and South American businesses of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Co., has appointed Chen Xiaomin as president of CAI.
   Chen succeeds Zang Liyong, who will remain with the company as a senior adviser. Chen was executive vice president of COSCO Americas, Inc. He has had a 25-year career with COSCO, including stints as senior managing director of COSCO Japan Co. and operation manager of Sino-European Container Line Service.
   Chen will retain his position as president of COSCO Container Lines Americas Inc., which is the U.S. arm of COSCON, the Shanghai-based container division of the COSCO Group.
