Liner employees on edge?

Liner employees on edge?    Maritime industry employees feel better about job security, but 54 percent are still concerned about their current position given the economic climate compared to nearly 62 percent a year ago, according to a survey by Coracle Online and Halcyon Recruitment.
   Liner company workers are most on edge about job security, with 67 percent expressing concern about their current position, compared to 38 percent of employees in the legal/P&I/insurance sector.
   “Employees in the liner trades are most happy with the reputation of their employer (65 percent), followed by their relationship with their manager (60 percent) and with job security and work life balance tying in third place,” the report said. “They are least happy about their current promotion prospects (75 percent), training opportunities (65 percent) with benefits and the way in which their employers communicated with them about their impact on the business tying in third place.”
