Crowley adjusts Florida-Panama service

The service sails with two 1,100-TEU vessels on a weekly frequency.    Crowley has announced a weekly sailing between Florida and Manzanillo, Panama.
   The service currently employs two 1,100-TEU vessels, the Toronto Trader and the Weisshorn, and sails from Jacksonville to Port Everglades, Kingston, Puerto Limon, Manzanillo, Port Everglades and back to Jacksonville.
   The loop previously called Colon in place of Manzanillo, but officially made the switch March 2.
   Once the cargo reaches Manzanillo, Crowley’s newly consolidated liner and logistics office at Manzanillo International Terminal will handle it accordingly, Crowley said.
   The new Panama office supplements and supports the company’s distribution center. The center works with customers to enhance supply chain efficiency with integrated logistics services, such as inventory management and tracking, pool point distribution, consolidation and deconsolidation, cross-docking and transportation services, Crowley said.
   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, Crowley currently offers 15 services, seven of which call Central America. The service to Manzanillo is the only one Crowley offers directly to Panama.
