K + N to handle China DC for phone maker

K + N to handle China DC for phone maker    European cordless phone manufacturer Gigaset Communications has appointed Kuehne + Nagel to manage the company's national distribution center in China.
   Kuehne + Nagel will also be responsible for domestic warehousing and distribution services for the range of Siemens-Gigaset-branded products in the Chinese market. The logistics company has had contracts with Gigaset since 2006.
   Distribution will be handled from K + N's logistics center in Baoshan, near Shanghai. The logistics company will be responsible for unloading and inspecting Gigaset's shipments from Germany, storage, order picking, dispatch preparation and national distribution to more than 100 destinations across China.
