Port Everglades plans Master Plan updates

Port Everglades plans Master Plan updates Officials from Port Everglades will update port customers and the general public on the status of the port's new master plan at meetings in Fort Lauderdale on December 6 and December 7.
   A meeting targeted at port stakeholders will be Thursday morning from 9 am. Until noon at Cruise Terminal 29, second floor, at Port Everglades. There will also be a meeting Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 for the general public at the Broward Main Library, 100 S. Andrews Avenue.
   The meetings will feature representatives from the port and the consulting company assisting with the master plan update. This is the second round of master plan meetings, and will include new information on market projections, a critical part of the information upon which the new master plan will be based.
   Port Everglades last master plan was completed in 2001, and the new master plan will take into account the extensive changes since that time.
   The new master plan will outline port strategies for the next five years. The current effort will also include 'vision plans' for 10 years our and 20 years out.
