LUFTHANSA APPOINTS KROLL TO OVERSEE NEW GLOBAL CARGO    Lufthansa Cargo has named Gabriela Kroll vice president of strategic airline alliances, in charge of implementing New Global Cargo with Singapore Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines System.
   Lufthansa, SIA and SAS agreed to develop the far-reaching New Global Cargo alliance in April this year. The airlines want to create a worldwide air freight delivery network.
   Kroll was vice president of corporate strategy at Lufthansa Cargo. She began her career at Lufthansa in 1986, joining the cargo division in 1997. She will oversee a team of New Global Cargo implementation managers. Ted Rotkirch of SAS is sales manager. Marcel Fujike of Lufthansa is products manager. Ooi See Hun of SIA is technology manager. And Karsten Schmidt of Lufthansa is handling manager.
   Lufthans said the three partners “have worked consistently on resolving common issues in the venture and achieved major progress.”
