SEKO offers three Chicago-Hong Kong flights for peak season    SEKO, a global provider of freight forwarding and logistics services, said Tuesday it now has three dedicated, guaranteed charter fights a week from Hong Kong to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, with connecting service to final destinations.
   The service has been prompted by an anticipated increase in total supply chain management demands during the approaching peak shipping season, the company said.
   In addition to the three dedicated flights from Hong Kong, SEKO also handles pickups in Hong Kong, transportation to the departure airport, customs brokerage and clearance operations, pickup at O'Hare Airport and final distribution to the consignee through its network of locally owned offices.
   'As the Far East continues to be the fastest growing international trade market, demands for air freight forwarding services from Asia are at an all-time high,' said William Wascher, SEKO's president and chief executive officer, in a statement. 'SEKO has nine offices in China, and does a huge segment of its business in the Asian Pacific Rim area. For this reason, SEKO has arranged for guaranteed cargo space on three dedicated flights a week from Hong Kong to Chicago and beyond.'
   SEKO said the new flights were implemented primarily to augment customers' distribution systems during the upcoming peak-shipping season but will be continued as long as demand exists.
