   “The strike, which began May 23, is causing major problems for exporters,” said FedEx in a bulletin. FedEx reported cargo stranded “for many days” is being moved to off-dock container freight stations, enabling the firms concerned to take possession of it.
   The India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conferences, a group of ocean carriers in the trade between India and Europe, reported Friday that feeder operators serving the port of Chennai said they intend to introduce a congestion surcharge of $50 per TEU for laden containers.
   The conference said that will pass on this charge to shippers through a new “Chennai emergency congestion surcharge” of $50.
