The contract, announced Tuesday, takes effect at the end of October, the airlines said.
World Airways has worked with Lufthansa’s cargo operations for more than 20 years. The airline is a subsidiary of World Air Holdings and operates a fleet of 17 wide-body planes.
Lufthansa Cargo operates 16 MD-11 freighters and has additional charter agreements for two MD-11 freighters and two Boeing 747 all-cargo planes.
